Childhood Immunisations

Who to See: All Nurses

One of the most important things that a parent can do for their child is to make sure that they have all their routine childhood vaccinations. It's the most effective way of keeping them protected against infectious diseases.

Ideally, children should have their jabs at the right age to protect them as early as possible and minimise the risk of infection.

You can find out which jabs your child needs, when they need them, and what the benefits of each jab are by talking to your health visitor or by booking an appointment with one of the Nursing team.

Well baby clinics

You can also visit our Baby Clinics for advice or information.  These are run as drop in sessions on:

  • Mondays at Manor Place between 1.30pm and 3.00pm
  • Mondays at Sir John Kirk Close between 1.30pm and 3.00pm.

All babies are invited to see the doctor, for a health and development check at the age of 6 weeks. Later checks are carried out by the Health Visitors.

This is a drop- in- Clinic for well children under 5, check with reception for details. Please bring your “red” book when you come.

For routine childhood vaccinations, please make an appointment with one of our nurses.

  • 1st and 3rd vaccination is 20 minutes appointment
  • 2nd vaccination is 10 minutes appointment.
